K J Gallery is thrilled to announce our upcoming solo exhibition by the esteemed artist, Mr. Huang Jin. Titled 'Horse Whinny in Spring, Hoofprints on the Hong Kong River'.

The equines rendered by Mr. Huang Jin possess a precious "static aura", reflecting not only traditional genes but also embracing contemporary themes. His "horses" are brimming with vitality and vivacity, whether they express the companionship of "mother" and "son" or "dialogue with birds", they all show his distinctive painting context, embodying the adage "The horse is motionless and the momentum is coming, power is manifested in stillness without dust fly".

This exhibition will showcase 15 exceptional works by Mr. Huang Jin spanning the past 30 years, encapsulating his two primary themes "affection between mother and child" and "Time-space language". In his meticulous brushwork, we anticipate the witness of departure from the conventional Chinese painting themes of galloping horses, herding horses, bathing horses, horses, eight horses, dragon horse spirit, etc. By avoiding the common horse stories and secular interpretations, He created an illusion of reality with his vivid horse paintings.

Exhibition Time:    10th March - 10th April, 2024
Opening:               Sunday, 10th March, 2024 from 3 to 5 p.m.
