K&J Gallery Collaborates with Four Female Artists at Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong for "MUSES IN TRANQUILITY: Resilience" – Proceeds Donated
7 June 2025
[Hong Kong, 2025] K&J Gallery participated in this year’s Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong with a special project, "MUSES IN TRANQUILITY: Resilience," featuring four Hong Kong female artists—Liu Jia, Yi Pang, Peggy Choi, and Yvonne Chow—who collaboratively created a live ink artwork. Centered on a banyan tree, the piece embodies the intertwined creativity, resilience, and shared vision of women artists. The artwork garnered significant attention and was acquired during the fair, with the gallery and artists pledging to donate all proceeds to charity.

"Resilience": The Banyan Tree as a Metaphor for Feminine Creativity
The artists take turns creating on the same banyan tree; its lush canopy mirroring their open hearts and its strong trunk representing their shared resilience and strength. Deep roots tell of a grounded friendship while moving leaves symbolise their desire for freedom.
Through the interplay of colours and brushstrokes, the work conveys both enduring power and tender grace, honouring female creative energy. Like Hong Kong, these artists grow stronger together, and this piece carries their hope for a bright future.

Art for a Cause
K&J Gallery and the artists believe that art transcends aesthetics—it carries the power to inspire and give back. The collaborative process of "Resilience" was a dialogue about trust and synergy, and donating its proceeds extends this ethos of "growing together." The gallery remains committed to curating projects that bridge art and social impact.
